    Although these newsletters are primarily meant to inform you of happenings in the world of Bullis Alumni, this time of year is also a time when we think about “giving back” to important people and places in our lives. We hope that when you “check your list” for year-end charitable contributions, Bullis shines like a star on the top!

    I speak for the entire Bullis community, when I say “thank you” to the Alumni Elves who have already checked Bullis off their holiday gift list. You are among a growing group of devoted Alumni, as the number of donors is already greater than this time last year, which is a tribute to you as Bullis Alumni!

Successful Thanksgiving Reunions
On Friday, November 28, the class of ’98 celebrated their 10th year reunion at Union Jack’s in Bethesda. On Saturday, November 29, the class of ’93 celebrated their 15th year reunion at Tommy Joe’s in Bethesda. The Alumni Office provided appetizers and giveaways and a few surprise guests showed up—special thanks to Shannon Ryan, Carl Tugberk and Lauren Shrensky who helped to organize these fun reunions. Plans Underway for Spring Golf Outing
Carl Tugberk ’98, and Josh Posnick ’03 are the “Kings of Swing” and are busy planning an extra special event for this spring.  Contact Carl, Josh or the Alumni Office if you are interested in helping plan, sponsor or participate in this event. 
 
Alumni Board
We are still looking to fill some board openings for those in the local area who are interested in participating in this fun and active group.  Please contact Joanne in the Alumni Office if you would like to participate.  We are busy planning for the activities listed below, plus any new ideas that our members are interested in pursuing.  This is a great opportunity to serve your school and your fellow classmates, and to be an integral part in planning for the future of this vital organization.

  • The Bullis School Alumni Office is pleased to offer a professional networking group on LinkedIn.com. You can click here to join, or go to www.linkedin.com. This group is created especially for Bullis alumni to promote, expand and track professional networking in our unique community. This service is free, completely optional and available only to alumni of Bullis School and Bullis alumni staff.

    In addition to the great education you received from Bullis, we now offer this site to expand your Bullis network. The possibilities are endless—imagine being able to contact fellow alumni with career planning, professional opportunities, business promotions, relocation questions and reunion planning. It can also be used to locate lost classmates! The Bullis Alumni Group on LinkedIn is the way to utilize your Bullis connections from anywhere in the world—request to join today!

  • In addition, we have just created a Bullis alumni group on Facebook for social networking. The group is titled “Bullis School Alumni.” Joining is easy. Just go to www.facebook.com and request to join the group. Director of Alumni Relations Joanne Szadkowski will confirm your status as an alumni and confirm your acceptance. If you have any questions or problems signing up, just e-mail or call the Alumni Office.

    We hope that the creation of these two networking groups will assist Bullis alumni in staying connected with one another and their alma mater.
