“Camp is just as great as a Disney cruise,” a camper exclaimed in June. And a parent wrote, “Trying a new camp can be a worrisome experience for parents and kids. Bullis lived up to its reputation and exceeded my expectations. My kids loved it.” As evidenced by the positive comments we received all summer long, camp ‘08 was a huge success, but ’09 will be even better!
Bullis Summer Programs provides the highest quality summer camp possible for children on our beautiful 80 acre campus. This year, we will continue offering our perennial favorites — 10 sports camps, Bulldog Day Camp, Pick-Three (formerly Summer Studies), Art and Calleva, but we are also adding exciting new programs. Your child can learn to be a magician or learn how to juggle, walk a real tight rope or walk on stilts. Your child can also act and sing; design and make jewelry; dance; make unique gifts or clothes using recycled items; play bridge, backgammon or chess; learn tai chi or martial arts; or make videos. The existing programs are run by successful, experienced directors and some of the best sports coaches in the Washington, D.C., area. The directors of the new classes are performers, artists, coaches and teachers with local, national and international reputations. Our new baseball coach helped 25 aspiring baseball players make it to professional leagues.
I encourage you to delve into this catalog and find programs that will intrigue, delight and enrich the life of your child this summer. Discover the wealth of talented professionals who will guide your child through weeks of adventure and excitement. Whether your child wants to fish for bass at local lakes, experience a blend of many activities in the Bulldog Day Camp, play in Physics is Phun or Robotics, become the next great actor of the decade, improve academically, play sports or discover new interests, he or she will find that opportunity at Bullis.
The faculty and staff look forward to serving your children and you, and helping your entire family have the best summer ever. Please register online at www.bullis.com/summerprograms or use the form provided in this catalog. Don’t delay. Some of the programs fill quite early. Please phone us (301-983-5741) with any questions. We look forward to talking with you and providing a summer of great fun and advancement for your child.
Sincerely,
Phyllis Elperin
